The Central Florida Tiny Desk Contest Showcase is Central Florida Public Media’s live celebration of the artists, sounds, and stories shaping this region. The showcase brings together the Top 5 Favorite artists chosen by the people of Central Florida through a community vote. Each performing artist is an unsigned artist from across Central Florida who originally submitted entries to NPR’s national Tiny Desk Contest.

Hosted by Nicole Darden Creston and featuring DJ LUV throughout the evening, the event also offers audiences a chance to connect with the Central Florida Public Media newsroom and the work we do to serve this region through journalism, storytelling, and community engagement. The VIP experience begins at 6:00 PM, with the main showcase beginning at 7:00 PM.

More than a concert, the Central Florida Tiny Desk Contest Showcase is part of Central Florida Public Media’s broader commitment to reflecting the communities we serve. The event is designed to amplify local and often unheard voices while creating space for discovery, connection, and community through music.

This year also includes Inside the Scene: VIP Conversation, an exclusive pre-show experience hosted by Nicole Darden Creston featuring selection committee members E-Turn, Jim Faherty, Benoit Glazer, and Tirzah Shroyer in conversation about the Central Florida music scene, where it’s growing, and the artists and energy shaping this moment locally. The VIP experience includes behind-the-scenes pre-show access, early venue entry, a meet-and-greet with the selection committee, an exclusive event poster and t-shirt, and admission to the main showcase beginning at 7:00 PM.
